Milkweed Photos:

Hey Everyone!

My mom asked my siblings and I to paint pictures of the milkweed pods and silk, but I decided I would rather take pictures of the milkweed than paint pictures of it. I still had to do a little painting, but my mom let me take pictures for most of the time my siblings were painting. πŸ˜„

I hope that you enjoy looking at the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them!

I really love the contrast of the white silk to the dark leaves and dirt!

I love how in this picture it looks like the milkweed silk is floating!

I really love how these seeds are standing up, they almost look like tiny trees or something!

Thanks for reading this!!

I really hope that you enjoyed this!!

Do you have a favorite of these pictures? What do you like about them?

I love it! We raise monarch caterpillars, so two years ago, we planted milkweed in our garden! And just yesterday we found a chrysalis on our deck! YEAH! I love watching God’s miracles πŸ™‚

We live in what my mom calls the suburbs, but there’s a city-like part a walk away so I call it the city (with apartments and other tall buildings plus a plaza that has an ice rink in the winter) The nice thing about living in the city is being close to a lot of stores and other places, its not as peaceful as the country for sure, you get used to having the lights of cars on your neighborhood street shining through your window. We drive to the country every week for my horse riding lessons and I think the country is really pretty and peaceful πŸ˜€ I would rather live in the country so I could ride more and if my dad had a full time job I could get my own horse!

Esmeralda, do you have a horse? I thought I remembered you saying something about that! We have monarch caterpillars that eat milkweed. It is amazing to get to watch the miracle of them turning into butterflies πŸ¦‹ two days ago, a butterfly β€œhatched” that had grown up on our milkweed!!! Yea☺️
