My family had a really wonderful Christmas this year! It was amazingly not stressful! Until this holiday season almost every holiday or birthday for as long as I can remember something has gone at least slightly wrong or different parts of our family were super stressed. It was really awesome to be able to just enjoy our time with both sides of our family! I am so thankful that this Christmas season went well.
I want to share some picture I took of our nativity scene. I hope you enjoy them!
How was your Christmas? What is your favorite Christmas food? Which of these pictures do you like best?

I hope you all enjoyed this post! What did you think of our answers to the questions? Feel free to answer any of these questions in the comments!
This week we don’t have a weekly verse, my mom decided that it wasn’t realistic to try to memorize a new verse this week, because I don’t know about you, but we are going semi-crazy getting ready for Christmas. I have no idea how I am going to have everything done in time! Every time I finish a project I feel so much closer to being done, until I think about what I still have left.
I wanted to share several of my favorite Christmas carols, so here you go!
Oh holy night, the stars are brightly shining It is the night of our dear Savior’s birth Long lay the world, in sin and error pining Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth
A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices For yonder breaks, a new and glorious morn Fall on your knees, oh hear the angel voices Oh night divine, oh night, when Christ was born Oh night divine, oh night, oh night divine
Truly He taught us to love one another His law is love and His gospel is peace Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother And in His name, all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy, in grateful chorus raise we Let all within us praise His holy name Fall on your knees, oh hear the angel voices Oh night divine, oh night, when Christ was born Oh night divine, oh night, oh night divine
Christ is the Lord, O praise His name forever His pow’r and glory evermore proclaim Fall on your knees, oh hear the angel voices Oh night divine, oh night, when Christ was born Oh night divine, oh night, oh night divine
I LOVE O Holy Night! It might be my absolute favorite Christmas carol! So putting my favorite Christmas carol and my one of my favorite singer together is just amazing!
Oh Lord, my God, when I in awesome wonder Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder Thy power throughout, the universe displayed
Then sings my soul, my Savior, God, to Thee How great Thou art (how great Thou art) How great Thou art (how great Thou art) Then sings my soul, my Savior, God, to Thee, oh to Thee How great Thou art (how great Thou art) How great Thou art
When through the woods oh, and forest glades I wander And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees When I look down, from lofty mountain grandeur And hear the brook, and feel the gentle breeze
Then sings my soul, my Savior, God, to Thee (then sings my soul) How great Thou art (how great Thou art) How great Thou art (how great Thou art) Then sings my soul, my Savior, God, to Thee How great Thou art (how great Thou art) How great Thou art (Great Thou art)
When Christ shall come With shouts of acclamation And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart (shall fill my heart) Then I shall bow In humble adoration (adoration) And then proclaim, “My God, how great Thou art”
Then sings my soul, my Savior, God, to Thee How great Thou art (How great Thou art) How great Thou art (How great Thou art) Then sings my soul, my Savior, God, to Thee How great Thou art How great Thou art How great Thou art How great Thou art
I love Pentatonix and especially this song!
Well, I guess that is all for this post! I am not exactly sure when I will be posting next other then my BIBPC #6 picture for this week, but I should be posting again soon!
What is your favorite Christmas carol? Do you have a favorite Christmas album?
First of all I am sorry that I was not able to do a Christmas themed post! I got sick and just wasn’t able to do it. I am thinking that in place of my weekly verse post this Monday/Tuesday I might do a Christmas themed post. We will see if I can pull it off!
I am SO excited to post my second BIBPC picture! A lot of thought went into my picture, and I hope you can tell! It was very difficult to figure out how to put the picture together using Megan’s words, but I did it (mostly)!
Without further ado………….my picture and an explanation:
Megan gave us these words: carols, celebrate, chill, candy canes, chestnuts, candle and cards, and we had to use at least three of them. I managed to use six, I just couldn’t find anything for chestnuts.
Anyway, the candles, cards, carols and candy canes are pretty self explanatory, right? I used the red plate, purple napkin and the lights for celebrate and the resting animals for chill.
Do you like this picture or the first picture better? Do think that the animals are chill enough and the plate and napkin celebratory enough? I would love to hear from you in the comments!!!
P.S. My team (Team Bear) won the first category! I hope we win the second one, too!
How was your weekend? We had friends come help us split wood, again. I was looking through my pictures from the summer and I found these pictures.
Our verse for this week is:
Habukkuk 3. 17,18
Though the fig tree does not blossom, and no fruit is on the vines;though the produce of the olive fails, and the fields yield no food; though the flock is cut off from the fold, and there is no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD; I will exult in the God of my salvation!
What sticks out to you from this verse? I am grateful for the reminder to rejoice no matter what is going on in our lives!
Like I said a few days ago, my dad took the three oldest kids in my family (one of my sisters, one of my brothers and me) to Boston for a Jesus Culture worship concert on Sunday. It was so much fun! We went into Boston a few hours early so we wandered around the Boston Common area. It was my first time on the Boston Common, it’s basically just a green space in Boston. 😂
We went to a coffee shop and got sandwiches and a coffee to share, before heading over at 6 to the theater only to have a security person tell us that we couldn’t go into the theater until 6:30. We ended up getting another coffee from Starbucks this time (don’t tell anyone but I think it was my first time getting something at Starbucks 😀) and FaceTiming my mom and my younger siblings.
It was my first time going to a concert and it was really fun to go inside with so many other people! The theater we were at seats 2700 people, thats almost three times the amount of people that live in my town! Anyway it was a big day for me, a farm girl who lives in a tiny town. 😀
Anyway here are some pictures from our trip! Enjoy and more on the concert in a minute!
We were all the way up in the balcony but we could still see pretty well! It was really amazing to be in the same building as Kim Walker Smith!!! She is so amazing (so are the other members of Jesus Culture, they aren’t quite as amazing, though)!!!!
If you haven’t heard Jesus Culture’s semi-new album Living With Fire yet, you totally should! It kind of spoiled me listening to them live but it’s still great. My favorite song is Freedom.
Have you ever been to a concert? Do you like Jesus Culture? What is your favorite Jesus Culture song (if you have one)? Do you like slightly longer posts like this one or shorter posts with more pictures?
I know that I said that I was going to a post about apples this week, but I decided to wait until next week! I am excited to share my favorite things about fall with you! So let’s jump in!
My absolute favorite thing about FALL is the leaves!!! I love everything about the leaves (I even love raking!). 😀 My favorite leaves are Maple leaves. I love that some of them are red, others yellow and still other orange!
My next favorite thing about fall is, wait for it………………………………………….APPLES!!!!!!!!!!!!! Apples are my favorite fruit hands down! My favorite way to eat apples is definitely raw, sometimes I eat them peeled and chopped up with melted chocolate (Apples and chocolate is one of the best food combos ever, well….I guess pineapple and chocolate is almost as good, mow that I’m thinking about this I guess that raisins and chocolate chips are also very close to be as good and so is…..well I think you get the idea. I think almost anything and chocolate is amazing! 😀) and other times just whole!
During the fall months of October and November the cold feels so refreshing after the hot summer! By March it is miserable but for now it’s great. 😀
I Love wearing sweatshirts and cuddling in blankets on the couch when I am reading and drinking mugs of hot cider and hot cocoa.
What do you love about fall? Do you have any suggestions for me on how to make my blog and posts more interesting (don’t be afraid of hurting my feelings!)?
I really enjoyed doing this post and I hope that you enjoyed reading it. 😀
Thank you for reading! I would love to hear from you in the comments!
I cannot believe that it is already the second week of October! It definitely looks like fall outside, rainy, gray and all the leaves yellow and red. On our farm the leaves are already falling and fading. Our backyard is covered in leaves. My littlest siblings and I started a leaf pile, but it is raining today so we will have to finish it tomorrow. 😀
I took a bunch of pictures of the leaves and the sky this past week and I wanted to share them with you! Enjoy!!
How has your fall been so far? Are the leaves turning or falling where you live? Any prayer requests?
For this week’s post I am going to share a few of the things that I have made since my first Cooking post. I have made way more things than I have pictures of, but I almost always forget to take pictures. I am attempting to remember more often. 😀
First up I have my fresh salsa! Fresh salsa is SO simple and easy to make and amazingly delicious!! My dad has been making this for forever, but I only started making it this summer because I wanted it way more than he could make it, like for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 😀 All I do is chop up onions, tomatoes and cilantro, and add a bit of salt and a splash of lemon juice or apple cider vinegar. I prefer apple cider vinegar, but lemon juice works too. 😀
Next I have my favorite chocolate cake EVER! I absolutely love this cake! I have a ton of trouble making my cakes look neat (am I the only one?). Why is it that every time I make it something goes wrong? For example, my littlest brother eating part of my top layer, the frosting melting because it is so warm, anyway you get the idea. 😀 What I love about this cake is that even if it doesn’t end of looking like I was hoping it would it will always taste amazing!
As you can see, very messy looking! I made this cake for my littlest brother’s 3 year old birthday. We enjoyed it! 😀
Who doesn’t like chocolate chip cookies, I mean most people do, right? But for my great aunts birthday I wanted to do something slightly differently so I made a chocolate chip cookie cake! I looked at a bunch of recipes and ended up with this one. I was happy with how it turned out, definitely a repeat!
How has your week gone? Have you made anything delicious or beautiful recently?
