Happy Thanksgiving (a few days late)!! I want to share some of the things I am Thankful for this year! Without further ado, here you go! 😀
I am so Thankful for music! Music is so amazing, I listen to music almost constantly, either on our family computer or on my phone while I am doing school. I don’t know how people lived before they could listen to music at home! 😀
Some of the songs I have had on repeat recently are:
I LOVE reading so much! Sometimes I think that without books I would go crazy. Books are such a gift from God! I am so glad that there are many talented people who love to write and are willing to share their stories with us! I am so Thankful for our wonderful library system that makes it possible for me to get new books to read regularly.
Several of the books/series I have really enjoyed this school recently are:
I have a couple of amazing friends who I have gotten to know better this year. I have been pen-pals with one of them for several years, but this year we have gotten very close! The other friend I am thinking of I have known (sort of known of) since kindergarten when we did homeschool stuff together. For a long time our families didn’t do anything together, but last year and this year we started doing things together, again. I have really enjoyed getting to know this friend!
You two know who you are (at least I hope you do!)! I am so Thankful to have you as apart of my life! Thank you for being my friends!
Another friend who I am Thankful for is someone who is like an older sister to me! Thank you for all the letters you write me and everything!! I am so Thankful for you!
I am so blessed to have the amazing family that I have! I so admire my parents and I am so Thankful that I am their daughter! I am so Thankful for every single one of my wonderful siblings! I love you guys!
I am also so blessed to have my grandparents be in my life so much! I am so Thankful for my amazing Tia! They are all such a blessing to me and our whole family!
What is something you are Thankful for? How was your Thanksgiving?
Thank you for taking the time to read this! Have a wonderful week!
Like I said a few days ago, my dad took the three oldest kids in my family (one of my sisters, one of my brothers and me) to Boston for a Jesus Culture worship concert on Sunday. It was so much fun! We went into Boston a few hours early so we wandered around the Boston Common area. It was my first time on the Boston Common, it’s basically just a green space in Boston. 😂
We went to a coffee shop and got sandwiches and a coffee to share, before heading over at 6 to the theater only to have a security person tell us that we couldn’t go into the theater until 6:30. We ended up getting another coffee from Starbucks this time (don’t tell anyone but I think it was my first time getting something at Starbucks 😀) and FaceTiming my mom and my younger siblings.
It was my first time going to a concert and it was really fun to go inside with so many other people! The theater we were at seats 2700 people, thats almost three times the amount of people that live in my town! Anyway it was a big day for me, a farm girl who lives in a tiny town. 😀
Anyway here are some pictures from our trip! Enjoy and more on the concert in a minute!
We were all the way up in the balcony but we could still see pretty well! It was really amazing to be in the same building as Kim Walker Smith!!! She is so amazing (so are the other members of Jesus Culture, they aren’t quite as amazing, though)!!!!
If you haven’t heard Jesus Culture’s semi-new album Living With Fire yet, you totally should! It kind of spoiled me listening to them live but it’s still great. My favorite song is Freedom.
Have you ever been to a concert? Do you like Jesus Culture? What is your favorite Jesus Culture song (if you have one)? Do you like slightly longer posts like this one or shorter posts with more pictures?
So Sorry that this two days late. I forgot to post it yesterday.
I had a really great weekend! My dad took the oldest kids in my family (one of my sisters, one of my brothers and me) to Boston for a Jesus Culture concert! It was awesome!! I will be posting pictures from it on Friday!
Our verses for this week is:
God, the Lord, is my strength; God makes my feet like the feet of a deer, and makes me tread upon the heights.
I love this verses! In choir last year we sang a song from this verse.
On Monday I went on a little field trip with my mom, a couple of my siblings and some homeschooled friends. We went to the Harvard Forest Museum, I thought it would be horribly boring but surprisingly it wasn’t!
They have twenty something beautiful, super detailed dioramas. It was so realistic, little trees with perfect leaves! It was all completely to scale, too! We did a scavenger hunt and it was crazy the little things that were hidden in them!
After seeing the dioramas we went for a quick walk through the woods. There were a bunch of beautiful trees! Here are some pictures from our walk!
How was your weekend? Mine was great! Yesterday, my whole family went to Vermont to go apple picking and to look at hay. When we got to the orchard they told us that they had been picked clean just a couple hours earlier and that they were closing U-pick for the year. It was a bummer but we still had fun, buying already picked apples and looking at these awesome stone walls. 😀
I love how the walls look! I want some at my house!!
Our verse this week is:
Psalm 86.11, 12
Teach me Your way, O LORD, that I may walk in Your truth; give me an undivided heart to revere your name. I give thanks to You, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify Your name forever.
I love this verse! It is so beautiful! What do you like doing to to glorify God? Sing, Dance color, draw or anything else? My favorite way to glorify God is singing!
