A Summer Playlist // feat. Tomato Photography

Hey Everyone.

I’ve been wanting to share my summer playlist for a while now and of course it is the last week of summer that I am getting around to putting it together. Honestly I’ve been in a bit of a dry spot with music. There have been some bright spots though, discovering Alec Benjamin, Hillsong Young & Free’s new singles and finding Jasmine Cephas-Jones’s music.

I’m excited to share this with you so let’s jump right in!

Indescribable – Hillsong Young & Free

“You’re indescribable in every way! You searched me out and now I’m caught up in your grace.”

Speak To Me – Koryn Hawthorne

” I promise to be honest when I speak to you.”

Out Of Love – Alessia Cara

“I can’t float in an ocean that has already been drained.”

Quiet – Elevation Rhythm

“Your voice breaks through my noise and I know I am not alone.”

If We Have Each Other – Alec Benjamin

“When the world’s not perfect, when the world’s not kind, if we have each other than we’ll both be fine.”

Little Bird – Jasmine Cephas-Jones

“It won’t be long. Just a minute until you fly.”

Recover – Caitie Hurst

“There is nothing that You can’t recover.”

Stand Up – Cynthia Erivo

“I’ve got eyes in the back of my head, just in case I have to run.”

Must’ve Been The Wind – Alec Benjamin

“Promise I’m not playing tricks on you, you’re always welcome to come in. You can stay here for an hour or two if you ever need a friend.”

What have you been listening to on repeat lately? Do you like any of these artists or songs? What was your favorite memory from this summer?

Gladiolus // feat. As I Am – Hillsong Young And Free

I’m living in a grace where everything is more than I imagined

Where what is undeserved is freely given

All my regrets and my failures

All of my wrongs have been left at the cross

Now all that remains is the Father’s love

Oh Lord, You take me as I am

Over and over, You call me Yours again

You see it all, still You want me

Your kindness and mercy remind me how You love me

As I am

So let us be together seated at Your table in communion

Oh, everyone is equal in Your presence

‘Cause where I am from or where I’ve been

The way that I’ve lived or the colour of skin

Nothing will change how the Father loves me

As I Am – Hillsong Young & Free

What have you been listening to recently? What is your favorite song or album that has dropped this summer? What are you hoping to do before school starts? (Or has school already started for you?)

Garden Photography // Summer 2020

Hey Everyone.

This year, for the first time, my family has an actual vegetable garden. My siblings and Bella (my dad’s mom) put in a lot of hard work in April and May to establish the garden. I then took over caring for the garden in late May. At first it was rather tedious, watering and weeding every day, and not exactly enjoyable, but as the summer has progressed I am loving watching everything grow (and harvesting is so much fun!). It is honestly unbelievable how quickly everything grows and ripens! God’s creation is truly incredible.

All that to say, I took some pictures in the garden a week or so ago and wanted to share them with you. So let’s get started. 🙂

Green Beans

Winter Squash (of an unknown variety)

Do you have a garden? What are your favorite summer foods? What has been the best moment of your summer so far?

Spring Colors//feat. Over And Over- Riley Clemmons

Staring at a mountain thought I had already climbed

The weight of my mistakes hold me down like I’m paralyzed, yeah

How many times have I asked for grace

Standing in the same broken place?

I’ve given You every good reason to walk away

But somehow You choose me

Over and over again

You keep running to me

No matter where I am

Over and over again

I get lost I must confess

Oh, how quickly I forget

But You keep on showing me I’m loved, over and over again

God of second chances, here to catch me every time

I thought I was unlovable ’till You told this heart of mine, yeah

I’m worth more than my past mistakes

I’m never too far gone to save

I’ve given You every good reason to walk away

But somehow You choose me, over and over again

You keep running to me, no matter where I am, over and over again

But You keep on showing me I’m loved

Over and over again

In every sunrise I find

Another reminder of how much You love me

For all of this lifetime

You’ll never get tired of chasing my heart

Over And Over – Riley Clemmons

How are you doing amidst the current panic, anxiety and confusion of the world right now? What have you been doing to stay busy and somewhat sane?

Have you heard For King & Country’s new song with Tori Kelly and Kirk Franklin, Together? What have you been listening to? What is your current favorite song?

Spring Is Here//feat. King of Kings – Hillsong

Without hope without light

Till from heaven You came running

There was mercy in Your eyes

To fulfil the law and prophets

To a virgin came the Word

From a throne of endless glory

To a cradle in the dirt

Praise the Father, Praise the Son

Praise the Spirit three in one

God of glory, Majesty

Praise forever to the King of Kings

To reveal the kingdom coming and to reconcile the lost

To redeem the whole creation

You did not despise the cross

For even in Your suffering, You saw to the other side

Knowing this was our salvation

Jesus for our sake You died

And the morning that You rose all of heaven held its breath

Till that stone was moved for good

For the Lamb had conquered death

And the dead rose from their tombs

And the angels stood in awe

For the souls of all who’d come to the Father are restored

And the Church of Christ was born

Then the Spirit lit the flame

Now this gospel truth of old, shall not kneel shall not faint

By His blood and in His Name, in His freedom I am free

For the love of Jesus Christ who has resurrected me

King of Kings – Hillsong Worship

Thinking of you all during this very difficult time. I hope that you take some time celebrate this special day, the day we remember the resurrection of Jesus.

Has spring arrived where you live? What is your favorite thing about spring? Do you have a favorite of the (many) pictures above?

March 2020 Playlist//Crocus Pictures

Hey Everyone.

It is really beginning to feel like spring here. The winter already is starting to feel like a memory (other then the fact that we had snow earlier this week). The crocuses have popped up and they are so beautiful, the first flowers of the spring. I have, of course, taken quite a few pictures of the crocuses in our front yard. I won’t share them all, but I will share some of my favorites.

Music is such a powerful thing, it can affect and at times completely change the mood of the listeners. With this in mind, I’ve put together a playlist of some songs that I think are really encouraging during this difficult time and that are the reminder that we need to trust God. These are all great songs to put on repeat in the background of your life at home right now.

I hope that these pictures are a bit of fresh air to you and that these songs are even slightly encouraging and help to bring you some hope during this intense and difficult time.

The Blessing – Elevation Worship

More Than Enough – Jesus Culture

Waymaker – Passion

I’m Leaning On You – Passion

PEACE – Hillsong Young & Free

Shoulders – For King & Country

Always Good (feat. Rita Springer) – The McClures

Midnight – Rita Springer

Breathing – Elle Limebear

Still in Control – Jesus Culture

My Arms – Ledger

Have you heard any of these songs? What have you been listening to recently?

First Signs Of Spring 2020//feat. Peace – Hillsong Young & Free

You will stay true

Even when the lies come

Your word remains truth

Even when my thoughts don’t line up

I will stand tall on each promise You made

Let the rest fade away

There’s a peace far beyond all understanding

May it ever set my heart at ease

Dare anxiety come, I’ll remember that peace is a promise You keep

Peace is a promise You keep

You will stay true

Even in the chaos

Your word remains truth

Even when my mind wreaks havoc

I will be still

For I’ve known all along

My Jehovah Shalom

There’s a peace far beyond all understanding, may it ever set my heart at ease

What anxiety fails to remember is peace is a promise You keep

You are peace to a restless soul

Peace when my thoughts wage war

Peace to the anxious heart

That’s who You are, that’s who You are

You are peace when my fear takes hold

Peace when I feel enclosed

Peace when I lose control

That’s who You are, that’s who You are

I’ve found peace far beyond all understanding, let it flow when my mind’s under siege

All anxiety bows in the presence of Jesus the Keeper of Peace

And peace is a promise He keeps

PeaceHillsong Young & Free

I hope and pray that you are able to find peace in Jesus tonight, amidst all of the chaos in the world and our lives.

BIBPC #7//Category 6

Hey Everyone.

We got some snow and quite a bit of ice. I’ve taken a bunch of pictures over the past few days and I’m excited to share them with you, soon, hopefully. Anyway………..it’s time for the second to last BIBPC category! I can’t believe it is already almost over. Time flies when you are busy. (By busy I mean reading every chance I get and probably not doing enough school. Just kidding, kind of.) 😀

team autumn

The sixth category of BIBPC #7 is……………………gentle.

The fog softens everything giving the trees the soothing and gentle appearance. Fog can be scary if you are driving but it has a gentle beauty.

Do you have school break this week or next week? Have you had any snow or ice where you live?

BIBPC #7//Category 5

Hey Everyone.

It feels like it has been awhile since I’ve posted, but it’s only been a week. I’ve had a busy but okay week. The weather has been weirdly warm which is pleasant but slightly disturbing. My siblings have been enjoying the opportunity to play outside without freezing to death. It’s been nice, but I wish it would snow, maybe soon.

Anyway…………Here you go!

team autumn

I am a proud Team Autumn member. Sadly we are having a bit of trouble, I think that we are currently in third place, hopefully we will do better this category. Even if we don’t win, I’ve still been having fun participating in this year’s BIBPC. 🙂

The fifth category of BIBPC #7 is………………..surprise.

I found this rainbow by surprise. I was walking in our hallway a couple weeks ago when I saw it. It’s slightly dizzying because of how bright it is but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. It’s always special when we can capture a rainbow, even if it is only a small one.

How’s your week been? What do you think of this picture?

BIBPC #7//Category 2

Hey Everyone.

I’m back with my second BIBPC picture! It’s been fun to post regularly again. I haven’t posted this much in months. 😀

team autumn

BIBPC #7’s second category is…………………………………………………..fast.

I had quite a bit of trouble coming up with a picture idea. After I went through the different things that the word fast made me think of, I realized that the words fast and fleeting have similar (or the same) meanings. That was when I decided on the picture I am about to share with you all.

Sunrises are so fast and fleeting. They are things of incredible beauty that last only several moments. Something that if we don’t get up early enough (like me) we miss. I challenge you to make sure to pay attention to the sunrise at least once in this next week. Maybe take a picture or just look at it and then fall back to sleep, you won’t regret it.

How often do you see the sun rise? Are you going to try to pay attention to the sunrise at least once this week?
