HI!

Hey Everyone!

I just wanted to let you guys know that I am taking the week off blogging! I’ll be back next Tuesday or Wednesday (there is a slight possibility that I’ll be back Thursday).

Anyway, Thank You for understanding!

I hope you all have a great week! I will be praying for you all!

A Fond Farewell

I am almost crying while I read this.

Nancy Rue Presents: Tween You & Me

Oh, precious Mini-Women.

This is Nancy.

When I started Tween You and Me 10 years ago, I had no idea how many tween girls like you would meet here and comment and share and pray and laugh and have blog parties. I don’t actually know how many, but it’s been a LOT. Some have graduated from high school – gone to college – some are even married! That means the tween years really do pass, and I hope the Tween You and Me blog helped make those years – and yours – easier and more fun and, most important of all, more God-filled. We have talked about everything from bullying to those absurd little creep boys. From keeping a Talking To God journal to dealing with friendship flubs. From celebrating Advent to observing Lent. From making friends with our own bodies to dealing with our siblings (and we don’t know…

Getting to Know Jesus – Week 3

I love this blog so much! I am really sad that it is ending! 🙁

Nancy Rue Presents: Tween You & Me

Hi mini women!  I can’t believe it’s our last Getting to Know Jesus post.  Let’s dive in.

What did Jesus think about Friendship?

Well, we know a couple things.

  1. He was fine with having friends with different interests.

His disciples ranged all the way from tax collector to fisherman.  That’s like an accountant and a construction worker being friends today.  So if you’re really into music, and absolutely hate math – don’t ignore that math genius in your class!  You might have things to teach each other.

When I was in school, I absolutely hated gym class.  I was so uncoordinated and jealous of all the girls who felt at right at home on the baseball field.

Polar Opposite Friends

Fast forward a few years and I’m friends with some of those girls now!  They encourage me to keep running and lifting weights, and they are so kind and helpful.  I would have…

Hello, dears!

My random photos and mini adventures are piling up fast, so I guess it’s time for another Etcetera post! You might want to get comfortable, because this could get reeeeally long. O.o (Update: yep, it’s really long. XD) Are you ready for this? Are you set?

Let’s go!

Book Club

Some of our friends started a book club this summer and invited us to come. It’s been really fun so far! Last meeting we discussed The Hobbit. Most of the members also made their own costumes and brought hobbit food. 😀 I didn’t personally dress up, but I DID take pictures of everyone else’s costumes, so that counts, right? 😛

I hope you’re taking a moment to fully appreciate these AMAZING COSTUMES. :O

book club 2

Isn’t this the cutest?

And here it is… behold, the Hobbit Feast! We had cram, honey cakes, stuff mushrooms, a strawberry tart, and lots more…

What is This World?

Amazing!!!

On the Wings of a Dream

There is something going through our world right now. It makes it so I can hardly recognize what earth has become. There’s something that’s crushing the morales of those who follow Christ. You might have heard of it. You might have not. Let’s just say that identities aren’t identities. Not anymore. Now…I don’t even know what they are.

There’s a show on Netflix right now that contributes to this whole thing. It’s called Anne with an E. There’s been a lot of controversies about this show…some love it, some hate it. To be honest, I’m not the one of the former. Because…there are just some things that I can’t appreciate.

First of all, let’s talk about the “mouse” episode. I stopped watching the show after that episode, though I read a few articles on the rest of it as…
