Weekly Verse #29

Hey Everyone!

Happy Easter!!

It is finally spring here!! It was nice and warm outside (when it it wasn’t raining) all this past week. It is so wonderful to look out my window, when I wake up in the morning, and not see snow but bright green grass! I have been taking a bunch of pictures, but I decided to restrain myself and only share these. I hope they brighten your day as they did mine.

I love crocuses. They are so brave and bold to be the first flowers that come up!

The sharp points of the petals are so beautiful and I love the purple stem!

The contrast of the bright yellow pollen and the white petals is so strong and eye-catching.

Here is this week’s verse:

Colossians 1. 19,20

For in Jesus all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him God was pleased to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, by making peace through the blood of his cross.

It is so crazy to me that Lent and now Holy Week are over. In some ways it felt endless and in others it flew by. You know what I mean?

Which picture is your favorite of these? How is your spring going? Isn’t it crazy Lent is over?!

Weekly Verse #28

Hey Everyone!

It’s feeling mostly springy here again! I spent some time outside this morning with my siblings and we went on a nice walk, only wearing our sweatshirts! It feels like it has been forever since we didn’t need layers of warm clothing, so it is wonderful to only wear a sweatshirt.

I think Zibah was waiting for someone to throw her the ball. 😀

Very soon all the trees will have leaves! I can’t wait.

This thorn looks super pointy, but I love the color of the little branch. I probably shouldn’t love anything about the prickers, but if we have to put up with them we should appreciate any beauty that they have. Right?

Our Verse for this week is:

Psalm 85.7,8

Show us your steadfast love, O LORD, and grant us your salvation. Let me hear what God the LORD will speak, for God will speak peace to God’s people, to God’s faithful, to those who turn to the LORD in their hearts.

I love that how this verse says that God will speak peace to his people. It is such a wonderful and amazing promise, that God will give us peace and I find it extremely comforting.

What stands out to your from this verse? How has your Lent been? Any prayer requests?

Weekly Verse #27

Hey Everyone!

Spring is here, just barely, but it is still so exciting!!! I went and took some pictures earlier today and I want to share them with you. 😀

Parts of our yard are turning green, maybe tomorrow after the rain we are supposed to get, the whole yard will be green!

I love this bright yellow tipped leaf.

Isn’t amazing how the bright green makes even the old concrete look pretty?

They are so tiny still! I can’t wait for them to flower!

Even the weeds look beautiful after the long winter. Right?

Our verse for this week is:

Psalm 51.15,17

O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise. The sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.

What is your favorite way to praise the Lord? Dancing, singing, praying out loud or something else?

Weekly Verse #25

Hey Everyone!

I’m sorry that I have posted so many Weekly Verses lately and not many other things! Hopefully I will get back on track with posting both every week. I’m excited about this week’s upcoming post so keep an eye out for it! 😀

This week’s verse is:

Psalm 57.1

Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me, for in You my soul takes refuge; in the shadow of your wings I will take refuge, until the destroying storms pass by.

I love how this verse talks about taking refuge in the shadow of God’s wings. Just picturing being in the shadow of God’s wings makes me feel comforted and safe.

What do you love about this verse? How has your Lent been? Have you held to your fasting?

Weekly Verse #23 and Icicle Pictures!

Hey Everyone!

I hope that you are all having a good week and staying warm! It is so cold here it makes me just want to curl up in a blanket with some hot passion tea and a good book, like one of the Keepers of The Lost Cities books. 😀

So pretty!
I love how the ice sparkles when the sunlight hits it!

Our verse for this week is:

Psalm 25. 4-6

Make me to know your ways, O LORD; teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth, and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all day long. Be mindful of your mercy, O LORD, and of your steadfast love, for they have been from of old.

For all of Lent my mom will be giving us lenten verses. We are lighting candles every night for part of what we are doing for Lent this year. I love candles so I am thrilled! At some point I will post pictures of the candles we are using. 😀 We are also fasting sugar and some technology. I’m not so thrilled about that!

Do you do anything for Lent?? If so, what?? Which picture do like the most? Are you fascinated by icicles like I am?

Weekly Verse #22

Hey Everyone!

I am so sorry that I once again missed my second posting day, I had a fun and busy weekend and just didn’t make it to the computer. This week I am planning to do a photo collab with Kaelyn and her sister Lauren, so keep an eye out for it!

I found these shells in my drawer and I decided to take some pictures of them. I love how they make the shape of wings or almost a heart.
Isn’t it beautiful how you can see all the lines on the shell?

Here’s our verse for this week:

Psalm 147.15-18

The LORD sends out His command to the earth; His word runs swiftly. God gives snow like wool; God scatters frost like ashes. The Lord hurls down hail like crumbs – who can stand before His cold? The Lord sends out His word and melts them; He makes His wind blow and the waters flow.

My mom chose this verse partly because of all the wind we have been having recently. Yesterday a huge branch fell in our driveway and my parents had to deal with it. The wind has been absolutely crazy, so strong. I think that wind has a dangerous beauty, kind of like fire.

This verse makes me think about how powerful our God is! It is crazy when you think about everything he does, how he controls the wind and snow!

What does this verse make you think about? Do you agree that wind and fire have a similar dangerous sort of beauty?

Weekly Verse #17

Hey Everyone!

I am so sorry that this post is a couple days late again! I plan to be back on schedule from now on.

Another Maya photo, since you all seemed to like the lsat one so much! 😀
A sky and snow photo!

Our verse for this week is:

Psalm 143.8

Let me hear of your steadfast love in the morning, for in you I put my trust. Teach me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.

This is such a beautiful verse and prayer. We all want to hear of God’s steadfast love and I think this is a wonderful prayer to ask to hear of God’s love.

What stands out to you from this verse? Anything? Which picture is your favorite? Do you like cat pictures or sky pictures better?

Weekly Verse #15

Hey Everyone!

I am really happy to share our first verse of the new year along with some pictures from when it snowed (YES, you read that right it finally snowed!!!)!

Our verse for this week:

Psalm 121.1-3

I lift up my eyes to the hills – from where will my help come? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. He will not let your foot be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber.

I love this verse and I always have. I love how it says how God does not slumber. It is so comforting that God is always watching over us, even when we are sleeping.

What stands out to you from this verse? Which picture is your favorite?

I can’t wait to hear from you in the comments!

Weekly Verse #14

Hey Everyone!

Happy second week of Advent! We lit our second candle for the first time last night! My little siblings are glad that two of them can blow out the candles at a time (there was much fighting over who got  to blow the candle out last week)! I cannot believe that we only have two weeks until Christmas! I have no idea how I am going to get all my presents ready by then!

I love how crisp this picture looks.
Beautiful sun!
Isn’t is cool how you can see the flames merging?!

Our verse:

Luke 1.52,53

God has brought down the powerful from their thrones, and lifted up the lowly; God has filled the hungry with good things, and sent the rich away empty.

Does anything stand out to you in this verse? I love how it says that God will fill the hungry with good things!

I will be posting my second BIBPC #6 picture soon! I also am planning on posting a Christmas themed post.

I would love to hear from you all in the comments!!!!!!!!!!

Weekly Verse #13

Hey Everyone!

I am sorry that this is a day late! I am going to keep this post short and I will be  posting again tomorrow or Thursday as well as on Friday!

I am participating in BIBPC #6! It is a photography contest that Megan came up with!! I am thrilled to be able to be apart of it! I will be posting the pictures I take for the contest!

Isn’t it beautiful how you can see the foggy mist?
My mom is letting me use her camera some, now and I am really enjoying getting to take better pictures! Can’t you see the difference?
More beautiful foggy mist!

Our verse for this week is:

Luke 1.68,69

Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for He has looked favorably on his people and redeemed them. God has raised up a mighty savior for us in the house of his servant David.

Advent started on Sunday! I absolutely LOVE Advent! Almost every night our whole family gathers in our living room and we sing christmas carols, read Bible stories, and the candles! For the rest of Advent our weekly verses will mostly likely be Advent themed.

How was your weekend? Does your family do anything for Advent?

Thank you for reading this!!!
