My family had a really wonderful Christmas this year! It was amazingly not stressful! Until this holiday season almost every holiday or birthday for as long as I can remember something has gone at least slightly wrong or different parts of our family were super stressed. It was really awesome to be able to just enjoy our time with both sides of our family! I am so thankful that this Christmas season went well.
I want to share some picture I took of our nativity scene. I hope you enjoy them!
Another candle picture, I shouldn’t have too many more now that Advent is over. They look so peaceful.A cute succulent plant.Aren’t her wings beautiful? One of the three kings.Mary and baby Jesus! Isn’t it so beautiful?!
How was your Christmas? What is your favorite Christmas food? Which of these pictures do you like best?
Merry Christmas!
(Sorry that this post was short! I should be back to my normal posting schedule next week!)
I am still really enjoying BIBPC #6 and I hope that you are enjoying my entries!
Go Team Bear!!
This weeks category was tradition!
This picture represents last night’s nativity walk! My family has been doing a nativity walk sometime during the week of Christmas or the week before Christmas for several years now and it has become a family tradition! We invite our family and some close friends to come do it with us!
I would love to hear about your Christmas/Holiday traditions and plans in the comments!!
This week we don’t have a weekly verse, my mom decided that it wasn’t realistic to try to memorize a new verse this week, because I don’t know about you, but we are going semi-crazy getting ready for Christmas. I have no idea how I am going to have everything done in time! Every time I finish a project I feel so much closer to being done, until I think about what I still have left.
I wanted to share several of my favorite Christmas carols, so here you go!
Oh holy night, the stars are brightly shining It is the night of our dear Savior’s birth Long lay the world, in sin and error pining Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth
A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices For yonder breaks, a new and glorious morn Fall on your knees, oh hear the angel voices Oh night divine, oh night, when Christ was born Oh night divine, oh night, oh night divine
Truly He taught us to love one another His law is love and His gospel is peace Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother And in His name, all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy, in grateful chorus raise we Let all within us praise His holy name Fall on your knees, oh hear the angel voices Oh night divine, oh night, when Christ was born Oh night divine, oh night, oh night divine
Christ is the Lord, O praise His name forever His pow’r and glory evermore proclaim Fall on your knees, oh hear the angel voices Oh night divine, oh night, when Christ was born Oh night divine, oh night, oh night divine
I LOVE O Holy Night! It might be my absolute favorite Christmas carol! So putting my favorite Christmas carol and my one of my favorite singer together is just amazing!
Our nativity set or as my little sister calls it our “activity set”.
Oh Lord, my God, when I in awesome wonder Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder Thy power throughout, the universe displayed
Then sings my soul, my Savior, God, to Thee How great Thou art (how great Thou art) How great Thou art (how great Thou art) Then sings my soul, my Savior, God, to Thee, oh to Thee How great Thou art (how great Thou art) How great Thou art
When through the woods oh, and forest glades I wander And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees When I look down, from lofty mountain grandeur And hear the brook, and feel the gentle breeze
Then sings my soul, my Savior, God, to Thee (then sings my soul) How great Thou art (how great Thou art) How great Thou art (how great Thou art) Then sings my soul, my Savior, God, to Thee How great Thou art (how great Thou art) How great Thou art (Great Thou art)
When Christ shall come With shouts of acclamation And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart (shall fill my heart) Then I shall bow In humble adoration (adoration) And then proclaim, “My God, how great Thou art”
Then sings my soul, my Savior, God, to Thee How great Thou art (How great Thou art) How great Thou art (How great Thou art) Then sings my soul, my Savior, God, to Thee How great Thou art How great Thou art How great Thou art How great Thou art
I love Pentatonix and especially this song!
Well, I guess that is all for this post! I am not exactly sure when I will be posting next other then my BIBPC #6 picture for this week, but I should be posting again soon!
What is your favorite Christmas carol? Do you have a favorite Christmas album?
Happy second week of Advent! We lit our second candle for the first time last night! My little siblings are glad that two of them can blow out the candles at a time (there was much fighting over who got to blow the candle out last week)! I cannot believe that we only have two weeks until Christmas! I have no idea how I am going to get all my presents ready by then!
I love how crisp this picture looks.Beautiful sun!Isn’t is cool how you can see the flames merging?!
Our verse:
Luke 1.52,53
God has brought down the powerful from their thrones, and lifted up the lowly; God has filled the hungry with good things, and sent the rich away empty.
Does anything stand out to you in this verse? I love how it says that God will fill the hungry with good things!
I will be posting my second BIBPC #6 picture soon! I also am planning on posting a Christmas themed post.
I would love to hear from you all in the comments!!!!!!!!!!
