I’ve taken a bunch of pictures this summer and I am (of course) excited to share them with you all as I tell you a bit about my summer. So let’s not bother with a meaningless intro.
I got to spend an amazing week at summer camp. I am so thankful for the wonderful memories I made and the time I got to spend there.
My grandparents visited, It was good to see them and the time flew by as it always does.
I have gotten to go (big) blueberry picking twice. Although I do not enjoy it as much as strawberry picking it is still something I love.
Reading everyday for several hours is my favorite part of summer. I have read more books than I can count, well not quite but close. One of my favorite places to read is in my wonderful Wise Owl hammock, that I got for Christmas last year.
As I have mentioned before I love fresh, local veggies, and being able to work with them has definitely been a highlight of my summer. I love making salads for my mom, using whatever fresh veggies we have around.
Life here on the farm has been as crazy and wonderful as it always is during the summer, non-stop work for my parents and lots of sunshine.
It is so hard for me to believe that the summer is already so close to being over. Summer always flies by, unlike winter, unfortunately.
I keep having to remind myself to enjoy August and not constantly be thinking about how sad I am that it is August.
I love fall and I love spring and sometimes I enjoy winter, but nothing ever compares to summer, ever. In some ways all fall and winter we live for spring and summer, especially if you are a farmer. We have to prepare for calving and then cheesemaking and then haying and markets and the list goes on and on.
It’s always hard to come to August and realize that summer is almost over, you look at your summer goals and are amazed by all that you haven’t accomplished and all you want to do before summer is over.
Honestly, I am nowhere near ready for the new school year to start and whatever challenges it will bring my way, so I am going to enjoy every last moment and hour day of my summer.
I challenge you to enjoy every last minute, day and hour of your summer (or at least as much of it as possible). 🙂
How has your summer been? What are some things you are hoping to accomplish this month? Do you have a favorite picture from this post?
I am really happy to (finally) share this photo collab with you! Without further ado…………………………………………………………………………………………………………..Here you go!
So how we did this was we (Lauren, Kaelyn and I) each came up with three topics and we had to either take or find pictures we had taken before for each topic. It was really fun to come up with each picture. 😀
Starting with my topics:
Winter: My winter has been full of snow so for winter I thought that it had to be a picture of snow.
I know that I said that I was going to a post about apples this week, but I decided to wait until next week! I am excited to share my favorite things about fall with you! So let’s jump in!
My absolute favorite thing about FALL is the leaves!!! I love everything about the leaves (I even love raking!). 😀 My favorite leaves are Maple leaves. I love that some of them are red, others yellow and still other orange!
My next favorite thing about fall is, wait for it………………………………………….APPLES!!!!!!!!!!!!! Apples are my favorite fruit hands down! My favorite way to eat apples is definitely raw, sometimes I eat them peeled and chopped up with melted chocolate (Apples and chocolate is one of the best food combos ever, well….I guess pineapple and chocolate is almost as good, mow that I’m thinking about this I guess that raisins and chocolate chips are also very close to be as good and so is…..well I think you get the idea. I think almost anything and chocolate is amazing! 😀) and other times just whole!
During the fall months of October and November the cold feels so refreshing after the hot summer! By March it is miserable but for now it’s great. 😀
I Love wearing sweatshirts and cuddling in blankets on the couch when I am reading and drinking mugs of hot cider and hot cocoa.
What do you love about fall? Do you have any suggestions for me on how to make my blog and posts more interesting (don’t be afraid of hurting my feelings!)?
I really enjoyed doing this post and I hope that you enjoyed reading it. 😀
Thank you for reading! I would love to hear from you in the comments!
I cannot believe that it is already the second week of October! It definitely looks like fall outside, rainy, gray and all the leaves yellow and red. On our farm the leaves are already falling and fading. Our backyard is covered in leaves. My littlest siblings and I started a leaf pile, but it is raining today so we will have to finish it tomorrow. 😀
I took a bunch of pictures of the leaves and the sky this past week and I wanted to share them with you! Enjoy!!
How has your fall been so far? Are the leaves turning or falling where you live? Any prayer requests?
How was your weekend? Did you enjoy the first couple days of fall? I am sad and happy that it is fall! Do you have a favorite season?
This weeks verse is:
1 John 3.16-17
We know love by this that Jesus laid down his life for us – and we ought to lay down our lives for one another. How does God’s love abide in anyone who has the world’s goods and sees a brother or sister in need and yet refuses help?
What is a simple way that you can help someone who needs your help this week? I can’t wait to hear from you in the comments!
How are you all? As you can tell my posting hasn’t been on the same day every week. I know that this can be frustrating! As of Monday I will post my weekly verse on Mondays and a longer post on Wednesdays or Thursdays. Thank you all for being patient with me!
Our verse for this past week was:
Philippians 2. 9-11
Therefore God also highly exalted Jesus and gave him the name above all names, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend in heaven and on earth and under the earth and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Do you have a favorite worship song? One that you really feel that God is speaking to you through? Right now I love this song called Look Up Child by Lauren Daigle.
Thank you all for reading! I would love to hear from you in the comments!
